Clerici Tessuto, one of the most important textiles manufacturers in the world for the luxury sector, was founded in 1922 by Rachele Clerici and Alessandro Tessuto.
Today led by the fourth generation of the Tessuto family, the company employs 280 people and reports €56 million in sales.
Clerici Tessuto has five production sites and is vertically integrated, from design to finishing.
The weaving unit at Grandate houses 80 machines and five warping machines. The yarn dyeing site in Montano Lucino is equipped with the latest generation, high-performance machines. The printing operation at Villa Guardia boasts eight Monna Lisa inkjet digital printers.
Clerici Tessuto sells more than 250,000 metres monthly or 2.5 million annually (production capacity is 3.5 million metres).
Collections include a large choice of contemporary fabrics such as jerseys, charmeuses, and tulles in Lycra, silk/polyester, silk/nylon, and even MicroModal for the swimwear, beachwear, and lingerie markets.
The company is Oeko-Tex, Serico, and GOTS certified. Minimum orders for manufacturing are very low, and the company offers stock for silk selection, plain clothes with rapid deliveries.
Export represents 70 percent of sales, with France and Germany showing strong growth. Clerici Tessuto has sales offices in Paris and New York.
